Angela Kirk PhD, LSW, LICDCCS received her doctorate in clinical psychology from The Union Institute and University, her MS in Social Agency Counseling from the University of Dayton and her BA in Psychology from Otterbein University. In addition to her work in the area of mental health and addiction, Dr. Kirk is certified as an advanced bereavement counselor and is also certified with EAGALA in equine assisted psychotherapy. Dr. Kirk has spoken at both the national and local levels on the subjects of unresolved grief and addiction, stress management, and other issues related to mental health and recovery. Her dog Grover is the resident therapy dog and she is the author of the weekly blog groveranddoc.com.
