CompDrug Treatment Philosophy:

CompDrug’s clinical treatment philosophy is a mental health approach based in evidence based interventions. The clinical focus on emotional regulation and coping skills training is grounded in the well researched areas of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Cognitive and Social Learning Models of psychology. These treatment interventions are recognized by the National Institute of Drug Addiction (NIDA) as evidence based interventions for the treatment of Opioid Dependence. The core elements of CompDrug’s treatment interventions are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Communication Skills Training, Social Skills Training and Relapse Prevention Training. In addition, Motivational Interviewing skills are utilized by the Clinical Staff to develop individual treatment plans to increase the probability of treatment compliance.

Outpatient Treatment Program:

CompDrug’s Outpatient Treatment program helps restore the patient with untreated mental illness and/or substance abuse to fully functioning adult status within his/her family and the community, and teaches skills to help the patient maintain the recovered level of functioning.  Our program focuses on clinical intervention, family support, relationship building, work and meaningful activity, patient empowerment and self-control. In addition to individual treatment, we also offer a variety of group therapy.  Our agency also provides on-site psychiatric services. The program seeks to increase recovery resiliency and supports adults so they can live productive and fulfilling lives free from substance abuse and the stigma of mental illness.

Outpatient services are provided to adults age 18 and older diagnosed with a substance abuse and/or mental health disorder, and are provided through individual and/or group counseling sessions.

Other services include assessment, case management, urine screening, vocational/educational services, and referral to support and recovery groups.
