The below groups are currently open and we are opening more groups as we are able. All groups are now onsite unless otherwise indicated in the description. Virtual group counseling sessions meet via Microsoft Teams. Please call 614.224.4506 option 1 to schedule.

Group counseling is offered daily addressing various topics on different days. A few of the topics include Healthy Relationships, Co-Dependency, Mindfulness, Stress Management, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention and Art Therapy.

Increasing reflective functioning, emotional regulation and interpersonal conflict management skills are themes addressed directly or indirectly in all groups. These themes have been identified extensively by research to be areas of deficit for individuals engaging in problematic behaviors related to self and others.


Healthy Recovery* – Allows patients to share their journey on improving their quality of life. Focuses on SAMHSA’s four major dimensions that support a life in recovery: Health, Home, Purpose, & Community. This is a closed group for CompDrug patients that meets every other Wednesday 10am-11am. Hepatitis SupportOffers education and emotional support to patients affected by hepatitis. Topics of discussion will include treatment options, diet and nutrition for a healthier liver, as well as referrals to treatment. This is not a medical group to give advice or treatment for hepatitis but rather a clinical group to share information from reputable resources, as well as a supportive environment for patients to express fears, challenges, and success stories regarding hepatitis. This is an open group for CompDrug patients that meets every Wednesday 8am-9am.

Incredible Years Baby – An evidence based program geared to parents with children age birth – 12 months. Parents learn how to help their babies feel loved, safe, and secure as well as encourage their babies physical and language development. The group consists of watching videos of real-life situations related to the topic of the day then following up with a group discussion and some role playing so that parents fully grasp the new skill. This is an open group for CompDrug patients that meets every Thursday 10am-11am. 

Orientation – The goal of the Orientation group is to introduce a client to the CompDrug clinic.  As a new client or returning client, attending this group will help you to be successful in your recovery.  The group format has slides and discussion to answer participants’ questions. This is an open group for CompDrug patients that meets every 3rd Monday 11am-12pm. 

SMART RecoverySelf-Management And Recovery Training is a community support group open to anyone struggling with an addiction. At meetings, participants help one another resolve problems with any addiction (to drugs or alcohol or to activities such as gambling or over-eating). Participants find and develop the power within themselves to change and lead fulfilling and balanced lives guided by our science-based and sensible 4-Point Program®This is an open group for CompDrug patients that meets onsite every Tuesday 430pm – 530pm and virtually Thursday 6pm-7pm.

Stress Management – Focuses on understanding how stress effects the body and recovery. Clients will learn how to identify individual stressors, how to change behaviors that continue the stress cycle and how to utilize relaxation techniques to feel calm. This is an open group for CompDrug patients that meets every Wednesday 9am-10am.
